THE SAINT JOHN’S CONNECTION
Swamiji and entourage arrived in St-John’s Newfoundland at noon on 14 august 2009. Ever since Swamiji had indicated that he will be coming to Canada to inaugurate the Energy statue in Montreal, Sadhaks in St. John’s had increased their meditation frequency and had prayed from the bottom of their hearts that Swamiji should visit St. John’s. Swamiji’s decision to visit to St. John’s was a strong evidence of power of devotees. Cape Spear is eastern most point of the Americas in Atlantic Ocean. Newfoundland is an Island surrounded by the sea. Swamiji found this place absolutely amazing and compared it to St. David's in Wales. He also made a point that this Island and especially St.John's had very little thought pollution. During the visit to Cape Spear Swamiji found a stone where he sat and we sat around him for almost more than two hours. Swamiji and Guruma and therefore all of us found it very relaxing and uplifting that we did not feel like leaving this place. The Rock it self is so energized that one can feel the vibrations when one goes besides it. The Sadhaks meet here very second Saturday before and after the sunrise and meditate in collectivity. Thereafter we went to Geo Center. Geo center lays out the history of the Landmass of Newfoundland, different planets and how Newfoundland came into being. Swamiji was fascinated by the collections of Rocks here and wondered if Swamiji was also a geologist. He portrayed so much knowledge about the rocks. He could feel the vibrations from certain rocks and knew the significance of the same and was able to compare them with the rocks of St.David.s.

This rock has since has a different meaning for the Sadhaks in St.John's and Newfoundland. Many of us now go on this rock early in morning to meditate. We all sat on the small rocks around the Swamiji and some of us who were not used to sitting down squatting had no problems sitting there for almost three hours.

Swamiji felt relaxed and the Sadhaks were happy to keep on listening to Swamiji's discourse and "some jovial stories". He could not help bursting into laughter. It was absolutely marvelous. There after we went to the school where Questions and Answers session for Swamiji was planned. We had made sitting arrangement for 70 sadhaks and their friends. He suggested we increase the sitting capacity by another 20 to 30. Next day there were between 90 and 100 sadhaks and their friends and or relatives who attended the session. The school hall itself was warm with an air conditioner fan going on, on the stage. We were concerned that it might get too warm with in the hall. However once the Swamiji arrived and the sessions started, he suggested we turn off the fan and the room automatically cooled down. The hall was highly energized and many Sadhaks had difficulty keeping their eyes open. Just being in His presence was the reward in itself for them.

CANADA’S BLESSINGS The Sadhaks in Montreal have already noticed the growing AURA of the statue as they meditate in the presence of the statue once a week. Monthly 8 day shibirs have been planned in Montreal. New Sadhaks are joining the Samarpan family in all cities. The number of Sadhaks is expected to triple in the next 12 months. St.John’s and indeed Newfoundland is blessed to have known Swamiji. In St John’s now there is collective meditation every day. Monday to Fridays in the evenings from 7.00pm to 7.30pm and on Saturdays 15minutes before and 15minutes after sunrise at Middle Cove Beach alternating with Cape Spear around the rocks that Swamiji energized with universal energy. Sadhaks also meet collectively on Sundays at 10am for Meditation. Everyone is extremely gratified to have Swamiji visit us despite his busy schedule. We are confident that he will revisit us within next two years. This place has least thought pollution.
